"Who we believe we are is often the enemy of who we want to become." - Maja Djikic, The Possible Self
From the first time I took the business unit on Human Behaviour in University, I have been fascinated with learning about what makes people do the things that they do. Two people can be in the exact same situation, but choose very different behaviours.
As Human Resource Management practitioner for over 20 years, I was in Learning & Development space for most of the time, acquiring knowledge and certifications using various instruments to diagnose leadership excellence in the workplace. Many of these tools were personality tests, type indicators, which identify preferences and indeed very informative in the design and execution of many wonderful leadership development programmes that I have attended and those I have facilitated. I personally understood my own personality and how to appreciate our individual differences.
When I was introduced to Heartstyles, a character development tool, it really enhanced my understanding of human behaviour. The Heartstyles indicator is backed by neuroscience, having been developed after extensive research and testing. I have facilitated numerous Leading with Heart workshops and coached many leaders using the Heartstyles model to lead more effectively.
I enjoy leading Heartstyles sessions and helping leaders and organisations build humanized, inclusive workplaces.
